Anti- Viral Herbs
There are plenty of herbs that are anti-viral. The question is, which ones helps the most with corona virus symptoms. With everything unfolding so quickly around covid -19, most people can only speculate at best. I honestly feel the best thing you can do is keep your immune system high and be proactive instead of reactive to this situation. So I have comprised a list of herbs that can be instrumental in keeping your immune system from being compromised! Those herbs are as follows:
Black Seed: These seeds, also known as black cumin, is known to nourish your body and replace vitamins to keep you free from infection and disease.
Echinacea: is a potent anti-viral source for viral respiratory infections. It is currently used to treat influenza symptoms, cold symptoms, and other respiratory issues.
Elderberry: it inhibits the early stages of infection by blocking key viral proteins responsible for both viral attachment and entry into a host cell, according to sciencedaily.com
Rosemary: this powerful herb is an antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral. It also has a great defense against herpes and influenza.
Angelic Root: has been known to remedy respiratory issues, but is also known as an antimicrobial, antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, analgesic, anti-cancer, anti-tumor, and anti-inflammatory.
How to use these herbs
There are many ways to use these medicinal herbs, but the best way to boost your immunity with them is to consume them. My favorite mode of consumption is to make herbal teas. First, you use about 1 tsp of herb for every 8 oz of water. Bring it to a boil, then let it simmer anywhere from 20 minutes - to 45 minutes or more depending on how strong you would like it. I also like to add in a teaspoon of pure raw honey to my tea to sweeten, and as an added bonus, for it's anti- oxidant, anti- bacterial, and digestive healing properties.
